Caleb Kilian Called Up For Saturday Debut
3 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Caleb Kilian will make his major league debut against the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday. The Cubs number five prospect, according to MLB Pipeline, has compiled a 2.06 ERA and 1.27 WHIP over 39 ⅓ IP for AAA Iowa this season. After appearing to fix his command issues in the lower levels of the minors, the 25-year-old has had his issues this year, allowing 3.4 BB/9. If he can find his control, he could become a viable fantasy pitcher. But for now, it's more of a wait-and-see situation outside of deep leagues, especially given his first matchup. If he does well, though, he certainly could stick around in the Cubs rotation.
