Cal Raleigh Returns Against A's
2 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh (thumb) is back behind the dish and is hitting sixth on Wednesday against the Oakland Athletics and right-hander James Kaprielian. Raleigh has been missing in action of late due to a thumb injury, but he's back in there for the M's on Wednesday. The 25-year-old has plenty of pop (23 home runs), but he also only has a .204 batting average (69-for-338) on the season, adding 54 RBI, 41 runs scored and a stolen base in 109 games in his second big-league season with the Mariners. Fantasy managers are hoping Raleigh can be more consistent to close things out. He's hitting .231 (9-for-39) with four home runs, nine RBI and seven runs scored in 12 games so far in September.
