Byron Buxton Returns To Monday's Lineup
2 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (knee) is back in the team's starting lineup on Monday against right-hander John Brebbia and the San Francisco Giants. Buxton is serving as the designated hitter and is batting in the three-hole. The oft-injured 29-year-old outfielder was pulled from Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Angels early due to right-knee tightness and he missed Sunday's action, but he's back in there on Monday. It's not a serious injury, but the Twins took the cautious route with a player that has been decimated by injuries in his career. Fantasy managers can get him back into their starting lineups now. In 180 trips to the plate over 42 games so far in 2023, Buxton is hitting .235 (36-for-153) with nine doubles, a triple, nine home runs, 21 RBI, four stolen bases and 30 runs scored.
