Byron Buxton, Marwin Gonzalez Take BP Friday
5 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (wrist) and infielder/outfielder Marwin Gonzalez (hamstring) took batting practice on the field and did some baserunning on Friday. Both players look close to going on a rehab assignment and should be able to return to the Twins before the All-Star break, barring setbacks. Buxton is the more attractive fantasy weapon in all leagues for his power/speed combination, hitting .266/.324/.527 with nine home runs, 40 runs, 38 RBI and 10 steals. Gonzalez is useful in deeper leagues for his position flexibility. The veteran switch hitter has a .255/.323/.420 slash line, nine homers, 28 runs, 26 RBI and one steal in 231 at-bats.
