Bucs Re-Sign Leonard Fournette
4 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers are re-signing running back Leonard Fournette to a one-year deal worth $3.25 million on Friday, according to a source. The deal includes incentives that could push the deal to $4 million. Fournette was a team player in 2020 in a backup role to Ronald Jones II, and he helped the team win a Super Bowl championship in his first season with the club. He posted 225 total yards and four touchdowns from Week 15 through the wild-card playoff game when Jones was injured and out with COVID-19. He finished with 448 total yards in the playoffs, including four touchdowns, the fourth-most in franchise playoff history. Despite the postseason success last year, the 26-year-old will have a somewhat limited fantasy ceiling as long as Jones as getting his share of touches in this backfield.
