Buccaneers Interview Scottie Montgomery For OC Position
2 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers have interviewed Detroit Lions assistant head coach/running backs coach Scottie Montgomery for their open offensive coordinator position. Montgomery is the ninth known candidate to meet with Tampa since they fired Byron Leftwich at the end of the season. Montgomery spent the last two years as the Indianapolis Colts' running backs coach before recently joining the Lions. In addition to Montgomery, the Buccaneers have interviewed Klint Kubiak, Jim Bob Cooter, Todd Monken, Dan Pitcher, Shea Tierney, Ronald Curry and Keenan McCardell for the job. Monkey was hired as the Baltimore Ravens' offensive coordinator, while Pitcher is returning to the Cincinnati Bengals.
