Bryson DeChambeau's East Lake Record Leaves a Lot to Be Desired

In three appearances at East Lake, Bryson DeChambeau has finished 19th, 12th, and 22nd. The nine-time PGA Tour winner is certainly a good enough player to compete anywhere, regardless of whether the course fits his game on paper. With that being said, East Lake definitely falls into the category of a course that is not ideal for DeChambeau's skillset. The old-school Donald Ross design cannot be bombed and gauged, as there is a serious penalty for missing the fairway due to the gnarly Bermuda rough. Over his last 36 rounds, DeChambeau ranks 29th out of 30 players in this field in fairways gained. He can certainly club down here and still compete, but his normal advantages will be mitigated.
