Bryce Harper Cleared For "Dry Swinging"
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper (elbow) has been cleared for "dry swinging"" and is due to arrive in Phillies camp on or around March 8-9, according to president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski. Harper continues to recover from Tommy John surgery on his right elbow. Even though he'll rejoin the team at spring training soon, the 30-year-old former MVP probably won't be able to return to game action as a designated hitter for the Phillies until right around the All-Star break. Missing half the season means Harper obviously won't be able to help fantasy squads for a while, but he's still worth drafting and stashing in all leagues. He is ranked as RotoBaller's No. 40 fantasy outfielder despite his injury.
