Bryan Reynolds Dealing with Tightness
Bryan Reynolds (tightness) was held out of the starting nine on Sunday due to "a little tightness in the trunk," according to Danny Demilio of Pittsburgh Baseball Now. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the switch-hitter's status leading up to their next contest on Monday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. This afternoon, Tommy Pham was called on to replace Reynolds in the starting nine. Over his last eight games, Reynolds has begun to break out of his early-season slump, holding a stellar .321/.412/.500 slash line with two doubles, one home run, and seven RBI. However, prior to this recent surge, he held a low .194 AVG over his first 43 games. If Reynolds were to miss extended time, Pham should have an everyday role in the starting nine.
