Browns Place David Njoku On Injured Reserve
4 years agoThe Cleveland Browns placed tight end David Njoku (knee) on Injured Reserve with a knee injury on Monday. It's unclear exactly what the specifics of Njoku's knee injury are, but it sounds like he won't be out too long. He'll be forced to miss at least three weeks while on IR. He caught all three of his targets in Week 1 against the Ravens for 50 yards and a touchdown, a positive sign that he can still have some fantasy value with Austin Hooper in town. With Njoku on the shelf for at least a little while, it'll open the door for rookie Harrison Bryant to get some opportunities next to Hooper. Hooper remains the team's primary pass-catching tight end, though, and he'll be more attractive as a low-end TE1/high-end TE1 for however long Njoku is out.
