New York Islanders center Brock Nelson had two goals as the team picked up an important victory over the Penguins Monday. The two are in the midst of a fierce battle for a playoff spot and the Islanders managed to move two points ahead of Pittsburgh with Monday's 4-2 win. Nelson scored the team's first goal and also the last when he iced the game with an empty-netter. Zach Parise assisted him on both occasions. Nelson's career-high 12-game point streak came to an end against Boston over the weekend, but he very quickly got back on the score sheet Monday. The 31-year-old has been very impressive this season with 26 goals and 31 assists in 60 games, and Nelson could even up his production with some extra usage, now that Mathew Barzal (upper body) has been ruled out indefinitely.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
