4 weeks agoThe Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets are interested in free-agent starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez after he opted out of his deal with the Yankees and became a free agent on Monday, according to major league sources. The veteran southpaw has plenty of major league experience, but he also had a 6.00 ERA and 1.67 WHIP in his three starts for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre before the Yanks released him. Gonzalez could carve out value in deeper leagues as a streamer if he lands with another team, but don't count on anything.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
