Brewers Hope Keston Hiura Can Play Sunday
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell said he hopes to get second baseman Keston Hiura (arm) into Sunday's intrasquad game. Hiura hasn't played since Tuesday because of soreness and weakness in his throwing arm. The Brewers don't think Hiura's arm issue is anything serious, so he should be good to go for Opening Day, barring any setbacks. The 23-year-old burst onto the scene in 2019 by hitting .303 with 19 home runs and nine stolen bases in only half a season, and he has the potential to be a top-three player at his position in a good hitting environment in a solid Brewers lineup.
