4 months agoFormer Tampa Bay Rays starter/reliever Jacob Faria is heading to the Milwaukee Brewers in a trade for first basemanĀ Jesus Aguilar. Faria had a strong rookie year as a starter, but then regressed and was eventually moved to the bullpen where his stuff started to shine. For now, it's unlikely that Faria will join the rotation or get any save chances, but Faria is still young and could be a starter for the Brewers in the future. As for Aguilar, the Rays have been looking for a right-handed bat and he fills their need. It's still unlikely that Aguilar gets everyday playing time, but it's worth noting that he slashed .298/.346/.574 in July and could play his way into more at-bats.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
