Brewers Acquire Owen Miller From The Guardians
2 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers acquired infielder Owen Miller from the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday in exchange for a player to be named later or cash. To make room on their 40-man roster, the Brewers designated catcher Mario Feliciano for assignment. Miller played in 130 games for Cleveland in his second major-league season in 2022 and slashed .243/.301/.351 with six home runs, 51 RBI, 53 runs scored and two stolen bases in 472 plate appearances. The 26-year-old can play almost any position on the infield, appearing at first, second and third for the Guardians last season, so he'll give Milwaukee plenty of infield flexibility heading into the 2023 season. Most of his playing time could come at the keystone after the Brewers traded Kolten Wong to Seattle this offseason.
