Breshad Perriman Excited About Jets Offense
4 years agoNew York Jets wide receiver Breshad Perriman thinks the team's offense can be dangerous this year after they ranked 32nd in the league last season. Perriman had 645 receiving yards and six touchdowns last year in a Buccaneers offense that ranked No. 1 in passing (302.8 yards per game), No. 3 overall (397.9 YPG) and No. 4 in scoring (28.6 points per game). The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder has done some informal throwing sessions with quarterback Sam Darnold in Florida and is impressed with the young QB. Perriman thinks he has a pretty good grasp of the offense despite this unique offseason. He has a 16.4 career yards-per-catch average and an 80.8 percent first-down conversion rate in 2018 and 2019. The 26-year-old finished red-hot last year with both Mike Evans and Chris Godwin hurt, but don't expect that efficiency to carry over to a Jets team looking for answers on offense. Perriman will likely be an inconsistent big-play wideout as a WR4/5 for fantasy owners.
