San Jose Sharks defenseman Brent Burns celebrated his 1000th regular-season outing in style on Thursday, notching the game-winning goal in a 4-2 success over Anaheim. He became the 10th player in NHL history to score the game-winner in his 1000th game. Barclay Goodrow also played a big part in the win, finishing with three assists. Burns has had it rough in December, registering points in only seven of 13 games, but he's still a top-five scorer among defensemen. The Sharks now start a three-game road trip, which should suit well for Burns as he's collected most of his points -- 20 of 36 -- away from home.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
