Brendan Rodgers Recovering Well
5 years agoColorado Rockies infielder Brendan Rodgers (shoulder) has been recovering faster than expected from labrum surgery, and it's now looking like he'll be playing the field before the end of Cactus League games. Rodgers has been on the injured list since last July due to a torn labrum, but he was expected to be able to DH during spring training. The top prospect is currently penciled in to be competing for the second base job with Ryan McMahon and Garrett Hampson, though it wouldn't be surprising if he ends up starting the season in the minors or as a utility infielder. He's expected to eventually take over the job in time, but the others are still in the way for now.
