5 days agoBoston Red Sox right-hander Brayan Bello (forearm) will toss a couple innings in a Grapefruit League game on Sunday for his spring debut. He will follow Nick Pivetta in the outing for Boston. The 23-year-old threw two innings on the back fields in spring training on Wednesday and is now ready to make his spring debut in a game. Even if Bello doesn't have any setbacks over the next couple of weeks, he's not expected to be ready to start the 2023 regular season in the Red Sox's starting rotation. The hard-throwing right-hander has plenty of maturing to do and will need to display better control to have consistent success in the big leagues, but his upside is intriguing in deep mixed and AL-only leagues if he's able to stick in Boston's rotation all year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
