Braves Put Kolby Allard On 60-Day Injured List
1 year agoThe Atlanta Braves placed left-hander Kolby Allard (shoulder) on the 60-day injured list (retroactive to July 17) with left-shoulder nerve inflammation on Tuesday and selected the contract of outfielder Forrest Wall from the minors in a corresponding move. Allard's injured-list placement comes after he left his start on Sunday early against the Chicago White Sox. There's now a chance that the 25-year-old southpaw won't pitch again for the Braves for the rest of the season. It's been a frustrating year for Allard, as he's posted a 6.57 ERA (4.26 FIP), 1.62 WHIP, four walks and 13 strikeouts in 12 1/3 innings over four appearances (three starts) in his first year in Atlanta. Fantasy managers that have Allard rostered in deeper redraft leagues should probably dump him now.
