4 years agoAtlanta Braves first-round pick Jared Shuster is on the team's 60-man player pool for the upcoming season. Catcher Shea Langeliers (the team's No. 5 prospect), shortstop Braden Shewmake (No. 7), right-handed pitcher Ian Anderson (No. 3), outfielder Drew Waters (No. 2) and outfielder Cristian Pache (No. 1) were also included. Anderson, Waters and Pache may be needed in the big leagues during the shortened season, but even if they get the call, they're unlikely to see regular playing time, barring injuries. Spring training 2.0 is set to begin later this week, with the regular season kicking off in late July. Atlanta is including Shuster strictly so that they can develop him and keep an eye on his progress first-hand.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
