Brandon Woodruff Expected To Return Within A Month
1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) threw another bullpen session on Thursday, and it went "great," according to general manager Matt Arnold. Arnold said that Woodruff could return from the injured list "within the next month or so." Woodruff has been away from the team since the middle of April due to a Grade 2 subscapular strain, and he recently had a setback and was shut down from throwing a few weeks ago. The 30-year-old is back at it again, though, and could be several weeks away after he's able to complete a minor-league rehab assignment consisting of at least several outings. The two-time All-Star had allowed just one earned run while striking out 12 in 11 1/3 innings in his first two starts of the year before his injury. Woodruff should be rostered in all fantasy leagues.
