Brandon Pfaadt To Make Another Start Saturday
1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks rookie right-hander Brandon Pfaadt will stick in the starting rotation and make his next start on Saturday against the visiting Seattle Mariners. Pfaadt earned himself another turn in Arizona's rotation by putting up a quality start last weekend against the Cincinnati Reds, when he allowed three earned runs in six innings in a loss. But aside from that, the 24-year-old has really struggled in his first seven big-league starts, posting a 8.81 ERA and 1.64 WHIP while walking 10, striking out 27 and allowing 12 home runs in 31 1/3 innings pitched. The matchup against Seattle on Saturday is a plus one, but it's still tough to recommend using Pfaadt in starting fantasy lineups until he can settle in a bit more.
