Brandon Nimmo Not Playing Against Royals
1 year agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (quadriceps) said he's at about 90 percent on Wednesday but won't be in the lineup due to left-quadriceps tightness. Nimmo is day-to-day and not particularly worried about the injury, so there's a good chance he'll be back in the lineup on Thursday for the series finale against the Kansas City Royals. The 30-year-old was scratched from Tuesday's lineup. Despite the Mets selling off some very valuable pieces at this year's trade deadline, Nimmo should still be an asset in most fantasy baseball leagues for his on-base ability and runs scored while hitting at the top of the Mets lineup. The center fielder is currently slashing .256/.353/.431 with 15 home runs, 47 RBI, three steals and 61 runs scored in 399 at-bats this year.
