Brandon Nimmo Hoping He Won't Miss Much Time
2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (quadriceps) said he thinks he caught his quadriceps injury on Wednesday early enough to avoid a major issue. Nimmo is hopeful that he won't need to miss much time, if any. The 29-year-old singled and a stole a base in the first inning on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Brewers before being pulled with left quadriceps tightness. With a scheduled off day on Thursday, he could return on Friday for the start of a series against the Oakland Athletics. Nimmo has been strong for the Mets and his fantasy managers in 2022, hitting .263/.359/.417 with 14 round-trippers, 56 RBI, 93 runs scored and two stolen bases in his 544 at-bats.
