Brandon Hagel Traded To Lightning
The Tampa Bay Lightning acquired left wing Brandon Hagel from the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday in exchange for forwards Boris Katchouk and Taylor Raddysh and two conditional first-round draft picks. Hagel, 23, made his debut for the Blackhawks on March 11, 2020, just before the season was paused due to COVID-19. Since then, the Saskatoon native has developed his offensive game and he joins the defending Stanley Cup champions with 37 points (21 goals, 16 assists) including four power-play goals through 55 games played this season. If Hagel was able to find that kind of scoring success on a below-average team like the Blackhawks, his offensive impact is sure to be even greater now that he has joined the Lightning.
