Brandon Aiyuk Recovered From Core Surgery
5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is fully recovered from his core surgery. Taken 25th overall in April's draft, Aiyuk has been taking part in throwing sessions with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and others this offseason. The 22-year-old from Arizona State isn't the fastest wideout around, but he's a yard-after-the-catch monster and could thrive as a playmaker in Kyle Shanahan's offense as an immediate starter next to Deebo Samuel. He'll need to expand his route tree in order to maximize his potential, but he has a nice fit in San Francisco and could produce immediately in his rookie season. Consider Aiyuk more of a WR5/6 in deeper redraft leagues in San Fran's run-first offense, and he'll also be a solid dynasty/keeper target.
