Boone Jenner Returning For Blue Jackets Friday
11 months agoColumbus Blue Jackets center Boone Jenner is returning to the lineup for Friday's game against the visiting New Jersey Devils. The veteran pivot took a puck to the face in a game against the Blues on Dec. 8 and suffered a broken jaw as a result, missing the next five-plus weeks of action. The injury interrupted what had been a nice season for Jenner as he tallied 13 goals and 18 points along with 81 shots on goal across the first 29 games of the season. A three-time 20-goal scorer and one-time 30-goal man, the 30-year-old will likely see some goal-scoring regression upon his return considering his 16% shooting rate is well above his 10.7% career mark. Nonetheless, the Jackets will be glad to have their captain back for a divisional contest on Friday.
