Columbus Blue Jackets center Boone Jenner is returning to the lineup for Friday's game against the visiting New Jersey Devils. The veteran pivot took a puck to the face in a game against the Blues on Dec. 8 and suffered a broken jaw as a result, missing the next five-plus weeks of action. The injury interrupted what had been a nice season for Jenner as he tallied 13 goals and 18 points along with 81 shots on goal across the first 29 games of the season. A three-time 20-goal scorer and one-time 30-goal man, the 30-year-old will likely see some goal-scoring regression upon his return considering his 16% shooting rate is well above his 10.7% career mark. Nonetheless, the Jackets will be glad to have their captain back for a divisional contest on Friday.--Brenton Kemp
