Bobby Wagner Unlikely To Need Surgery
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner (ankle, knee) was told by doctors that he had new injuries to his knee and ankle during the team's annual exit examination on Monday. Wagner said the injuries aren't major and he should be fine for the start of training camp in late July. Head coach Pete Carroll said that Wagner will not require surgery. Despite playing through injuries this year, Wagner once again led the league in tackles and became an All-Pro for the fifth time in eight seasons in the NFL. He was also selected to his sixth straight Pro Bowl, but he may not play in the game because of his injuries. The 29-year-old is a tackling machine with 100-plus tackles in all eight of his NFL seasons. He'll remain high on the IDP radar at the linebacker position again in 2020.
