2 months agoThe Toronto Blue Jays are interested in starting pitchers Hyun-Jin Ryu and Dallas Keuchel, among other free-agent starters. It's no secret that Toronto is in need of improving their starting rotation, but they won't shop at the top of the market for arms like Gerrit Cole and Stephen Strasburg. Ryu was one of the best starters in the game last year, going 14-5 with a 2.32 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 163 K's in 182 2/3 innings (29 starts) for the Dodgers. Keuchel signed late with Atlanta and was decent with an 8-8 record, 3.75 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 91 strikeouts in 112 2/3 frames (19 starts). Ryu is the higher-upside arm if he's healthy, but both pitchers would face bigger challenges in the tough American League East and in hitter-friendly Toronto.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
