Blue Jays Hope To Get Tim Mayza Back This Year

The Toronto Blue Jays are hopeful that they'll get relief pitcher Tim Mayza (shoulder) back near the end of August after he recently suffered a dislocated right shoulder. The Blue Jays placed Mayza on the injured list over the weekend, but it sounds like the Jays will get him back in the bullpen this season. The 30-year-old left-hander has been excellent for Toronto this year, going 5-0 with a 2.88 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 27 strikeouts and just nine walks in 34 1/3 relief innings. While Mayza has been solid for the Jays in relief, he's not much of a fantasy option since he's not closing out games and has only a 20 percent strikeout rate.
