With Chicago Bears safety Eddie Jackson (foot) out with a foot injury, the team is signing veteran free-agent safety Adrian Colbert on Tuesday, according to his agents. Jackson is believed to be dealing with a Lisfranc injury, so there's a good chance he won't play again in 2022, which is a serious blow to Chicago's defense. Colbert signed with the Tennessee Titans in August but hasn't played in an NFL game this year. In six games (three starts) with the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets in 2021, Colbert had 16 tackles (10 solo). The 29-year-old will give the Bears some veteran depth to help make up for the loss of Jackson, who is one of the best safeties in the league.--Keith HernandezRead More News
