Bailey Ober Goes Six Innings In Win Over BoSox
Bailey Ober picked up his fourth win of the season in Saturday's 4-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox. The North Carolina native scattered seven hits (one double), allowing one earned run and striking out six while issuing one free pass. He fired 62 of 94 pitches for strikes, inducing 18 swings-and-misses for a strong 32% CSW% in the quality start. Ober mostly cruised through this one, running into trouble in the third inning when Jarren Duran doubled and was driven in a batter later by Rafael Devers after reaching third on a Carlos Correa error. He'd recover, though, and let up just three singles thereafter. The 29-year-old has been fine thus far in 2025, and will carry a 3.72 ERA and 1.34 WHIP with a 4-1 record into his next start, which projects to come against the San Francisco Giants at home late next week.
