Toronto Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews reached his season-best point streak on Sunday, extending it to nine games by logging a goal and an assist in the 6-5 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. He potted the team's third goal and landed an assist when William Nylander scored the game-winner with a minute played in the extra frame. With his 390th career goal, Matthews broke a tie for second with Darryl Sittler on Toronto's all-time goals list. He now trails only Mats Sundin (420). Despite putting together a nine-game point streak, Matthews has been surprisingly quiet in front of the net lately, scoring only twice during the run. He has had 11 assists since starting the streak. For the season overall, the Maple Leafs superstar boasts 51 points (22 goals, 29 assists) through 45 outings.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
