Austin Riley Looking Good In Spring Training
2 years agoEntering Grapefruit League play on Friday, Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley is hitting a strong .316 (6-for-19) with a double, two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored in nine games played. He made his first All-Star team in his fourth year in the big leagues in 2022 by slashing .273/.349/.528 with an .878 OPS, career-high 38 home runs, 93 RBI and 90 runs scored in 693 plate appearances and 159 games played. The 25-year-old is an elite power option in fantasy at the third base position, and he consistently barrels baseballs up, hitting a combined 71 round-trippers in his first two full MLB seasons in 2021 and 2022. Fantasy managers should consider him a top-five third baseman heading into 2023.
