Austin Meadows Will Not Start Friday
Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Austin Meadows will sit for the fifth straight game Thursday. Meadows has not started the past five games as the team has gotten a look at Jordan Luplow. According to Rob Biertempfel, Clint Hurdle said "We are getting to a spot where (Meadows) needs to play (every day). That's why we are taking a look at Jordan and seeing what he can provide." The rumor is Meadows will head back to Triple-A Indianapolis to get more every day playing time. Fantasy owners should cut ties with Meadows.
