Austin Ekeler Expected To Be Present For Mandatory Minicamp
2 years agoLos Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley said his expectation is that running back Austin Ekeler will be present for the team's mandatory minicamp. Ekeler, who wants a new contract extension and has been allowed to seek a trade, wasn't at the first day of voluntary organized team activities on Monday. The 28-year-old do-it-all back is unlikely to report for OTAs, but he's expected to be at mandatory minicamp, and it's becoming increasingly likely that he'll stick around for at least one more year in LA before testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent. If Ekeler does remain with the Bolts in 2023, he should continue to be a high-end RB1 for fantasy managers, especially in PPR formats.
