Austin Cindric's Inconsistencies Make Him A Risky Play At New Hampshire
6 months agoAustin Cindric will start from P29 in Sunday's USA Today 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. In his two previous Cup starts at this track, Cindric has been decent, though not outstanding. In the 2022 race, the Team Penske star looked fantastic as he finished 13th despite starting 28th, earning 45.9 DraftKings points for his efforts. Because of his strong showing in 2022, there was some buzz for the 25-year-old entering last year's race, a hype he failed to live up to. After starting 22nd, Cindric actually dropped in the race, finishing in 25th and earning just 14 DraftKings points. Inconsistencies like this have come to define Cindric's Cup career, a factor that makes him a risky play in DFS. A perfect example of his inconsistencies can be seen in how his June has gone. After starting the month out strong with a win at St. Louis, he has failed to crack the top-20 in each of the last two races. Given his inconsistencies and that his DraftKings salary of $7,000 is more expensive than guys who have better track data such as Daniel Suarez ($6,900), Austin Dillon ($6,200) and Erik Jones ($5,900), it is recommended that you treat the No. 2 as nothing more than a dart throw in DFS this weekend.
