Artemi Panarin Caps Off Three-Point Outing With Overtime Winner
10 months agoNew York Rangers left wing Artemi Panarin amassed three points on Sunday against the Islanders as the Rangers became the first team in NHL history to win an outdoor game from a three-goal deficit. Panarin had a pair of power-play assists and capped off the Rangers' comeback with a 6-5 game-winning goal 10 seconds into overtime. This marks Panarin's second consecutive three-point outing. He's suddenly turned red-hot after opening the month with a lackluster two-point effort across four games. It was a rare cold spell for Panarin, who's one of the most consistent offensive players in the league. He has totaled 74 points (32 goals, 42 assists) in 55 appearances this season -- only three other players in the league have posted at least 30 goals and 40 assists.
