Arjun Nimmala Struggling In Single-A Debut
7 months agoToronto Blue Jays shortstop prospect Arjun Nimmala has struggled at the plate in his first taste of Single-A ball. Through 29 games, the 18-year-old has posted a .167/.280/.306 line with three home runs, four doubles, eight RBI, four stolen bases, and a 15:43 BB:K ratio. The former 20th overall selection in the 2023 MLB Draft logged just nine games in the Rookie League last summer and immediately opened this season with Single-A Dunedin. MLB Pipeline projects the young shortstop to reach the major leagues in 2027, and is considered the number three prospect in Toronto. Nimmala is a name to follow in dynasty leagues but should remain on waiver wires for several seasons.
