Antonio Gibson Dealing With Shin Injury
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson (shin) missed practice on Thursday due to a shin injury. Gibson was wearing a sleeve over his shin during practice on Wednesday. It's unclear if this injury is actually something that could keep him from playing in Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons, but we'll have a better idea on Gibson's status on Friday. If the 23-year-old is limited at all or forced to sit out, J.D. McKissic would immediately be a starting fantasy option, especially in PPR formats. Rookie Jaret Patterson would also likely see a bigger backfield role. Gibson didn't do much on the ground last week, but he saved his day with a 73-yard touchdown catch. He'll be a must-start midrange RB1 on Sunday if he's active.
