Antonio Brown Could Be Out Long-Term
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said that wide receiver Antonio Brown (ankle) is dealing with an ankle sprain near his heel, and it could be an injury that keeps him out long-term past the team's Week 9 bye. Brown was seen on crutches during practice on Wednesday and is highly likely to miss his second straight game in Week 8 against the New Orleans Saints. Based on the 33-year-old's big role in this offense when healthy, he needs to be stashed in all formats, but don't expect a quick return. Tyler Johnson was the team's No. 3 wideout with Brown out last week, but he had just two targets and isn't a realistic starting fantasy option, especially if tight end Rob Gronkowski (lung, ribs) returns this Sunday, as expected. As long as Brown remains out, Mike Evans, who had three touchdowns in Week 7, and Chris Godwin will be targeted heavily by quarterback Tom Brady.
