Anthony Volpe Unavailable Sunday With Illness
9 months agoNew York Yankees shortstop Anthony Volpe (illness) was scratched from the team's lineup Sunday due to a stomach illness. Fantasy managers can breathe a sigh of relief that Volpe's absence wasn't related to a more serious injury. With Volpe sidelined, Jon Berti will start at third base and bat seventh while Oswaldo Cabrera will slide over to shortstop and bat ninth. Assuming he is feeling better, the speedy Volpe should be back in the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 22-year-old has gone 4-for-10 to start the season with one home run and two RBI.
