Anthony Richardson An Option For Seahawks?
2 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks are in a unique spot for the upcoming draft. They have their quarterback in Geno Smith but also own a top pick (No. 5) in the first round that they might not have again for quite some time. ESPN's Field Yates says that the dream scenario for University of Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson is to go to a team where he can learn and develop for a year, and Seattle fits that perfectly. Richardson has a lot of upside, but scouts have graded him anywhere from the first round to the fourth round because of inconsistency throwing the football. But his running skills are off the charts and he has a very strong arm. The 21-year-old needs to work on his accuracy and improve his reads. ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper believes Richardson needs around two to three years of development.
