Anthony Rendon Takes Ground Balls
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (knee), who has been out since May 3 with a left knee contusion, took ground balls on the field before the game on Monday. Rendon could return from the injured list for the series against the Boston Red Sox that begins on Friday on the road. Manager Joe Maddon said that the 30-year-old is in good spirits with his health, so it looks like Rendon may not be gone that much longer for the Halos and fantasy managers. Rendon is hitting .276/.348/.466 with only three home runs and 11 RBI in 15 games for the Angels in his second season with the club. Rendon should be fine in the long run for his fantasy managers, but he just needs to get back on the field. Phil Gosselin and Jose Rojas have been equally splitting time at the hot corner with Rendon on the shelf.
