Anthony Miller Joins Steelers Practice Squad
3 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers signed wide receiver Anthony Miller and defensive tackle Isaiah Mack to their practice squad on Tuesday. In a corresponding move, the team released nose tackle Eli Ankou from the practice squad. Miller caught five passes on 11 targets for 23 yards and a touchdown in just two games with the Houston Texans before getting cut. In his third and final season with the Chicago Bears in 2020, Miller had 49 catches on 76 targets for 485 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games (six starts). The 27-year-old will provide valuable depth now that JuJu Smith-Schuster (shoulder) is likely out for the rest of the season. Miller could eventually join Pittsburgh's active roster, but he'll have much more competition for playing time than he did in his short stint with Houston.
