Anthony DeSclafani To Undergo Ankle Surgery

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani (ankle) will undergo surgery on his right ankle next week, according to Giants manager Gabe Kapler. The 32-year-old was placed on the 15-day injured list with right ankle inflammation this past Friday and there were rumblings that surgery could be in play for him. The Giants haven't released any information in regards to his expected timeline, but he'll likely miss a good chunk of the remainder of the season, if not all of it. It's been a rough year for the veteran, who has made just five starts, pitching to a 9.95 ERA and a 2.05 WHIP.
