Anthony DeSclafani Beginning Minor-League Rehab Assignment
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants right-handers Anthony DeSclafani (shoulder) and Luke Jackson (back) are both starting their minor-league rehab assignments on Thursday in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League. As long as DeSclafani doesn't have any setbacks with his right shoulder on Thursday, he should be set to return to the team's starting rotation at some point next week after being out since early July with right-shoulder fatigue. The 33-year-old hurler will be a streaming option in deep-mixed leagues after going 4-8 with a 4.44 ERA (4.12 FIP), 1.19 WHIP, 18 walks and 72 strikeouts in 17 starts (93 1/3 innings) before his injury. Jackson, who has been out since late June with a lower-back strain, should be able to rejoin San Fran's bullpen next week as well.
