Washington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon is back in the starting lineup after recovering from his toe injury. Rendon will bat second in the order behind Washington's new leadoff monster, Bryce Harper. Rendon has a decent matchup today as he will face off against Phillies right-hander Vince Velasquez (1-4, 5.70 ERA). Rendon started the year slowly, and then was hampered by a lingering toe injury. However, Rendon will have plenty of opportunities to bounce back in a revamped Nationals lineup with Bryce Harper leading off. Rendon will likely hit further down the order, as Trea Turner has been hitting in the second spot lately, but Turner got a day off today. Rendon is a potential .300/.400/.500 hitter when he's on his game.--Phil GoyetteRead More News
