4 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels signed first-rounder Reid Detmers, the 10th overall pick, for $4.67 million on Sunday. It comes in just under the slot value of $4.739 million for the No. 10 overall pick in the draft. The left-handed pitcher out of Louisville was the most polished arm in this year's draft class and has great command of a low-90s fastball. Detmers also has a nice curveball and good feel for his changeup. The southpaw is expected to be put on the 60-man list for the upcoming 2020 season, although his placement will be solely for development purposes. Given his polish, Detmers should rise quickly through the Halos system in the coming years.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
